What first brought you to New England? The first time I visited New England, it wasn’t by choice. I was asked to guide for the Mt. Washington Valley Ice Festival. Then I stuck around and realized the ice was good. Really good. I was intrigued by how many ice lines were there, and by how much I wanted to get serious on ice again. So the next winter, I moved to New Hampshire for three reasons: my boyfriend, steady guiding and winter cragging. Love, money and ice—not bad.
