John Price: Canadian Rockies IcePosted on: March 6, 2015 When photographer John Price and I talked earlier today about the slideshow on the following pages, I had a hard time wrapping my head around where exactly he lives. "I'm in Banff... I'm from Australia. I lived here from 2012-2013... I went to Australia last year, then to Nepal [as a member of] a New Zealand/Australian expedition to an unclimbed mountain in the northeast corridor called Anidesha Chuli (6900m; read more here)... my plan was to move back to Canmore, which is where I'll move in a month. "I'm just climbing and working on my dreams and desires to be an alpinist, and documenting what I can." Price has been climbing for the past six years and shooting photos for the past three. "I've been lucky to have photography mentors in the Rockies," he tells me. —Chris Van Leuven
