Alpinist.com will post a full NewsWire when more information becomes available. —Ed Adam Bielecki and Janusz Golab of Poland successfully reached the summit of Gasherbrum I (8068m) on March 9 at 8:30 a.m.. The pair followed the Japanese Route and did not use supplementary oxygen. Further information should be available when the two reach Base Camp, sometime this weekend.
