Family and friends of Alexey Gorbatenkov and Svetlana Gutsalo are seeking any information from people in the Khumbu region who may have seen the pair over the course of the last month. Gorbatenkov and Gutsalo set off to attempt Tengkang Poche (6500m), near the village of Thame, in late September. On the 27th they reported they were okay and beginning their attempt on Tengkang Poche’s north face.
They did not catch their return flight from KTM on October 7th. Anyone with information on the pair, whether they saw them on the climb, in a village, in Namche Bazaar, or in the region, is asked to please email Mikhail Morozov, micla(at)yandex(dot)ru.
As of last week a party of their countrymen were beginning the search.
