And the Winner Is...?

Recently, I read the post about the mountain climbing awards on alpinist's website. I had time to kill and ended up googling these awards. And I found something even more pathetic than judging people for their climbs.

Get this: there is now a mountain climbing version of American Idol. It's called "The Mountain Academy" and is described as being "the next step in mountaineering and alpinism". It also says that it wants to "illustrate the freeride face of mountaineering!"
