Determination: Bob Timmer
Posted on: June 4, 2008
This is the story of my friend, ice climber Bob Timmer, who was not only diagnosed with one, but TWO inoperable malignant tumors—one in the brain and one on his spinal cord. He used climbing as a means to cope with the cancers and through it learned to control his fear of heights.
Today he is still climbing fervently and does it completely cancer-free. Below is a link to an inspiring short video of his determination to survive. I hope everyone at Alpinist enjoys watching.
