Parking Garage: Beyond the Limit

Expanding Entertainment

Parking Garage: Beyond the Limit is a spoof of the Discovery Channel Show, Everest: Beyond the Limit. It was created by New York actor Mark Odlum and film maker John Dabrowski of Expanding Entertainment.

Mark and John are childhood friends who grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut. From the beginning, they shared a love of comedy, outdoors and the Hartford Whalers. They reconnected a few years ago when the John teamed up with Mark’s improv comedy group, Psychic Improv to shoot the independent comedy pilot Strange Faculty which recently screened in the New York Television Festival.

Parking Garage: Beyond the Limit is a sketch parody that will be part of a sketch comedy pilot that the two are currently producing. The idea for Parking Garage started when John, a fan of Everest: Beyond the Limit, realized he was more than a little out of breath after climbing only four flights of stairs to the top of a parking garage to fetch his car. His first thought was to shoot a spoof of Everest where Mark was summiting a parking garage. Mark loved the idea, especially since he is a climber and outdoor enthusiast, currently trapped in the contrete jungle of New York.

They were recently contacted by Expedition Leader, Russell Brice from Everest: Beyond the Limit, who saw the video on YouYube and joked he wanted to hire Sherpa Pam for his next expedition.
