With Magic, I Will Never Die

Posted on: May 18, 2008

This fantastic little article from the Seattle PI has inspired me—it features some sort of magic (technology these days is so close to magic that I'm not going to try and mince words) gel product that is flexible and comfortable until impact, when it stiffens. They've apparently already made gloves with it.

Why stop at ice climbing gloves? I want a sweet wing-suit like Dean Potter’s that also has magic gel body armor in it. It will give me the confidence to do the first free solo of the legendary Twark Might route F**k the Entire Universe, Who Are Losers but Don’t Know It (VIII WI7 A5+ 5.15c M22X, 1000m).
