Aimee Barnes is the chief guide and director of the Moab branch of Jackson Hole Mountain Guides, where she has worked for the last five years. Aimee has been a guide since the mid 1980s with intermittent time spent working in sales for the outdoor and guide industries.

Growing up in Idaho Aimee started skiing and climbing on the Idaho side of the Tetons. Skiing at an age of five, the passion was immediately ignited for the pursuit of the mountain lifestyle with a balance of activities in all seasons.

She has traveled, climbed and skied throughout the world. The mid to late 1990s produced ski descents in South America, Alaska and Wyoming. Along with pioneering new routes in the Eighties throughout the western states, Aimee has spent time rock climbing in Asia, South America and adventure traveling across Bhutan.

In the Eighties Aimee was introduced to rock climbing while attending college. She has pioneered more than thirty-five first ascents in the City of Rocks. Although her passion is climbing, the ability to balance life finds Aimee skiing in the winter. She has free heel descents off the Volcanos of Ecuador, Heli skied in Alaska's Chugach and in her favorite backyard, Jackson Hole, where she spends the heart of winter.

Aimee started guiding rock climbing in the mid-Eighties in the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho. Over the years she spends time guiding in The City of Rocks, Las Vegas, Red Rocks, the Elephant's Perch and the Tetons. With her passion of climbing only increasing, the sandstone towers and splitter desert cracks of the Colorado Plateau have Aimee's attention as a climber and a guide.
