Jackson, Wyoming – December 18, 2007 – The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and The Alpinist Film Festival announced today that Erin Sarsfield of Orland Park, Illinois, won the 2008 Great Ski-Film Getaway.
The Great Ski-Film Getaway presented visitors to www.alpinist.com and www.jacksonhole.com the opportunity to win four days of skiing at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and admission to all four nights of the 2008 Alpinist Film Festival, which is being held January 17?21 in Jackson Hole. Sarsfield was selected at random from the hundreds of entries. In addition to the skiing and film-going she is to enjoy, her package includes an all-expenses paid trip to Jackson.
A documentary film-maker herself (her first film, One Way Out, appeared in The New York Independent Film Festival), Sarsfield said of her win, “I’ve never been out to Jackson Hole in the winter before. My family has a home in Minocqua, Wisconsin, and we ski a lot there, but I’ve never skied in the mountains. I love film festivals, too. This is so exciting!”

The 2008 Alpinist Film Festival will feature its signature Snow, Surf and Stone nights January 17-19 at Walk Festival Hall in Teton Village, Wyoming. A fourth evening, The People’s Choice Ceremonies, will present the People’s Choice award-winning films from the previous three evenings at the Center for the Arts in downtown Jackson.
